Grasping a Vision
Ever had a vision where you wanted to go next? Ever needed to get other people to grasp that vision? When that vision is your passion and your dream and no one grasps on to it what do you do? No seriously, leave me a comment with what you do.
You have hopes, dreams, and visions. Some people will help you, some will hinder you. Either way you still need to extend yourself into a risky situation where someone else wil either reject or embrace your vision.
This risk is a loss of control, in those moments that other person has complete control to embrace or reject your vision, which in turn is a rejection of you.
The embrace is like a drug, it is addictive and it becomes habit forming, you need the embrace to feel complete. The downside of this is that with any addiction we end up compromising our morals to get our “fix”
On the other side the rejection feels like you are a homeless and malnourished puppy who just got kicked in the ribs. It hurts, makes you groan, and you just don’t understand why someone would be so cold-hearted.
So what do you do? How do you deal with both sides of it?
One thing I have noticed is that some times we are so afraid of the loss of control that we never share our vision and we hold it in, which makes us bitter and lonely because no one is there for us.
I would suggest that you risk anyway. When you get rejected know that Jesus risked it all and still died with the rejection of everything, including God. But it is in that Rejection that resurrection comes and ultimately the embrace from God.
Leave me some thoughts on how you deal with casting a vision.
