what’s on your desk matters

I have been unpacking my office for the last few days.  One of the things I began thinking about is what I want to have on my desk.  It appears to me that what goes on my desk matters.  And so what you see is not a staged picture but is what my desk looks like right now.

 

 

I try to keep a minimilist desk so that I can focus on what I am doing.  To much clutter seems to distract me.  I have my iPad which has several commentaries and my laptop for writing sermons and of course my coffee.  Most importantly is my Bible.

I also keep some family momentos on my desk but for now it seems that if I want to get work done I need to keep that desk clutter free.  My walls (which you can’t see) are filled with pictures of family and posters of my favorite musicians but my desk is clear.
