Cars 2: The First Theater Movie
Sorry this is late, dealing with the internet all week made this take forever.
Today, I took my son to his first movie. We spent the day together getting his hair cut and opening his first savings account. Then we went to dinner and then we saw Cars 2. It was a cute movie but what really got me was the amount of firsts that we had today.
- We opened his first bank account with the money from his Piggy Bank.
- He sat in his first photo booth (see the picture sheet in his hand)
- He went to his first movie theater.
All of the wonder in his eyes and amazement at what was going on around him made me feel so proud to be a part of that moment.
Is that what God feels when a new Christian experiences grace and freedom for the first time? Does God swell with pride seeing his child experience the power of forgiveness for the first time?
When a new Christian awakens to a new day that is not determined by failure, pain, and shame does God puff out his chest and say “That’s my child?”
That is what I did when my son was watching Cars in 3D and laughed out loud, so would God do that for us?
I think so. What do you think?
