Prayer for foolishness and arrogance

Dear Jesus, how foolish Elijah must have been. To believe you would answer his demands for action. How foolish to risk his very life to proclaim that you rule the universe as the one true God. How arrogant he must have been to pour water on the sacrifice and to mock the 450 prophets of Baal. How could he have been so stupid that you were waiting for his call before you acted. Didn’t he know he could die if you didn’t answer his prayer? I mean what a foolish man to put everything on the line for your glory and then the arrogance to take it up a level with water and mockery……
