The Divine Crash

This weekend I am playing Mr. Mom while my wife is at a clergy spouse retreat, thus leaving me with both kids.

Dear Jesus,

This weekend keep me safe and sane,

Keep my kids from harm until their mother returns

I pray for those single parents who won’t have any extra help after the weekend.

Give them strength and courage to make it just a little longer

Give them a heart like yours that will love those kids no matter what it takes.

Be with those who don’t see their kids as often as they would,

Help them to know that You know exactly what it feels like to not see Your kids.

To the parents that have kids going in the wrong directions, give them courage and let those parents know that you have been where they are.

To the children that feel like that have gone so far they can never come home remind that you are looking and waiting for them every day to come home.

In Jesus name I pray.
