beer, sex, credit cards, and the risen Jesus.

November 30, 2009

Sunday’s sermon was from Matthew 4:1-11 focusing on the temptation of Jesus.  You can download the sermon on iTunes or listen to the audio here.  This sermon was quite fun and a little controversial.  I love to step into a pulpit for teaching and let the Holy Spirit move in new ways for the people [...]

RollerCoasters, sin, youth ministry, and the rule of three?

November 28, 2009

The other day I was reading Psalm 1 and I was thinking about what it meant for me today.
“How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit in the seat of scoffers!”
I was reminded of what it means to be [...]

Routine Saturday?

November 21, 2009

Sunday morning is the most exhausting and exhilarating time of the week for me.  I don’t know what I would do if I wasn’t a pastor, perhaps I would be a parking enforcement officer that way I could drive a cool car.

Anti-Gospel

November 20, 2009
